IN THE NATURE OF GARFAGNANA

ITINERARY

A full day in the nature of Garfagnana with its traditions, its specialities and surrounded by the two most important mountainous groups of the area, Apuan Alps and the Apennine

Our Tours are open to everybody, friends and families with teenagers, children and animals

4X4 CARS

If you participate with your own 4×4, we don’t need any particular preparations, we only require it works perfectly

WHEN

The Tour is available all the year

We recommend comfortable and sportive clothing

Different types of accommodations: rustic and charming houses, holiday homes, luxury hotels and for families, ancient villages. Some of them with indoor and outdoor pools, wellness center and SPA.

We leave at about 9.30 from Barga. We drive direction valley crossing a river.

We find a more technical point to reach “Rifugio Santi” at Vetricia. Coffee break.

We continue on off road to reach the Appenine ridge until we reach “Bassa del Saltello”, the balcony on Apennine from where it’s possible to have a 360° panorama.

We drive until 1.700 meters above sea level at “Passo delle Radici”. We exit from the off road to go to visit the small village of San Pellegrino in Alpe.

Then we continue on off road to reach “Rifugio Burigon” with its wonderful panorama. Typical lunch in the mountain lodge.

After lunch the tour continues with a long distance off-road up to Sillico, if time permits we recommend a stop in Cerasa for a special afternoon snack..

Temporarily ended the dirt road, we reach Castelnuovo Garfagnana where we can visit the city center

Again on asphalt we reach Fosciandora with the possibility of other some offroad trails before reach Barga.
